About FSM

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a low-intensity electrical therapy that delivers precise frequency pairs through FDA-cleared devices to address specific sources of pain, imbalances, and dysfunctions. FSM therapies have roots going back to the early 1900s in the U.S.
FSM is commonly used for sprains, strains, and other acute injuries and has shown promising benefit for neuropathic and chronic pain, including shingles and fibromyalgia, with additional clinical experience supporting its use for post-surgical healing and alleviating symptoms associated with Epstein-Barr virus, Lyme disease, and mold toxicity related symptoms .

Dr. Huynh learned FSM at the Cleveland Clinic while working at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to enhance and prolong the effects of acupuncture for chronic pain patients, and she continues to integrate it into comprehensive pain management.

FSM is being used at the Invictus Games, an international biennial multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans, underscoring its emerging role as a nonpharmacologic tool for pain, recovery, and performance.
